| On 27 May, in presence of visitors and employees, it has been celebrated that the highest point has been reached of the renewed IKEA Store in Duiven.
After the building activities the gross floor area of IKEA Duiven will be doubled (38.000 m2) and will have a four strorey high parking house for 1.750 cars. Reaching the highest point, the lift shaft and staircases is, according regional tradition, being celebrated with all participants. At the end of September 2011 the first part of the parking house will be taken into use, at the start of April 2012 the second part of the parking house will be taken in to use.
Compared to the old situation, from that moment on an additional amount of 1.100 parking places will be available. From May 2012 will follow the Swedish Foodmarket and the bistro. In the period September-Dcember 2012 the restaurant, the Showroom and the department of home accessories will be renovated.
