MICROSTUDIO PARIJS
interior
design
The studio has a small scale character with its 30 m² and has the need to create a real ‘pied a terre’ for all necessary functions such as sleeping, working and cooking. The idea arose to double a part of the floor area of this small, but high space.

assignment
The assignment concerns the renovation of an apartment in Montmartre, a hill in the 18th district of Paris, France. When referring the hill, people often speak of “La Butte Montmartre”.
location
The apartment is located in a small street, Rue Berthe, on the ground floor of a typical Hausmann building with a very special backyard.

The various modules, which form together the eventual platform, are prefabricated and powder coated in Amsterdam. Then the modules were transported to Paris and assembled in two days.
The platform consists of a steel structure, filled with waterproof multiplex and finished with a white cast floor, applicable for various daily use.
