DWELLING VLEUTEN
interior family house
design
The dwelling consists of two floors. The ground floor volume on the east and south side follows the edges of the plot. The first floor is rectangular, smaller in size than the ground floor and is more shifted towards the west. The design of the building masses and the degree of openness versus closeness, determine together the orientation of the house. By the desire of the client, the ground floor is designed as a spacious living area. The consequence is that a modest surface on the first floor is left. This gained the possibility to create a large void, creating a spatial connection between the living room, dining room and kitchen.
