CAR SHOWROOM AND PETROL STATION
new development in Amersfoort
location
The location for the car company “Kreijne” is situated at the business park “Calveen” and has a direct connection to the Northern ring road of Amersfoort.

design
The program counts three core activities, namely fuelling, car showroom and car maintenance.
At ground level, all three program components connect to the surrounding typical areas. The service station is directly linked to the logistical dynamics of the ring road. The transparent showrooms blends into the openness of the water. The offices connect to the surrounded dwellings by their smaller scale.
The facade and materialization follows mainly the underlying functions. The showrooms in the eastern part of the building, have a full height glass facade. The upper parking levels are shielded by means of a shell of perforated steel. The perforated steel is also applied on the facades facing the public domain, with the exception of the service station. The indoor spaces are featured with or without a glass facade in combination with the perforated steel skin. The steel skin on the office building is more open to allow daylight.
